Welcome to PawsHush. These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of pawshush.com (the "Site"). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
Informational purposes only
PawsHush provides articles, tools, and resources related to pet loss, grief, and end-of-life care for informational and emotional-support purposes only. Nothing on this Site constitutes veterinary, medical, mental health, legal, or financial advice. Content on the Site — including quality-of-life assessments, aftercare guidance, and any other tool or article — is not a substitute for the individualized advice of a licensed veterinarian, physician, therapist, attorney, or other qualified professional. Always seek the advice of a qualified professional with any questions you may have regarding your pet's health, your own mental health, or any legal or financial matter.
Decisions about euthanasia, medical treatment, and end-of-life care for your pet should be made in consultation with your veterinarian, who knows your pet's specific medical history and condition.
Affiliate disclosure
PawsHush is a participant in affiliate marketing programs, including the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, Awin (including the Etsy affiliate program), Impact (including the Chewy affiliate program), and CJ Affiliate, which are designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by linking to affiliated retailers. As an Amazon Associate, and as a member of the other programs listed, we earn from qualifying purchases made through links on this Site, at no additional cost to you. Product recommendations reflect our own editorial judgment; the existence of an affiliate relationship does not mean every linked product has been personally tested by our team.
The Site also displays third-party advertising served through Ezoic and its network partners. We are not responsible for the content of third-party advertisements.
Intellectual property
Unless otherwise noted, all content on the Site — including text, articles, graphics, logos, tool designs, and the PawsHush name and mark — is the property of PawsHush or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may share links to our content and quote brief excerpts with proper attribution and a link back to the original page, for non-commercial purposes. You may not republish, reproduce, or distribute substantial portions of our content without prior written permission.
User-submitted content
Features such as the Heart Map may allow you to submit text, photos, or other content about your pet. By submitting content, you confirm you have the right to share it and grant PawsHush a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display it on the Site. We reserve the right to remove any submitted content at our discretion, including content that is abusive, inappropriate, or violates these Terms.
No warranty
The Site and all content, tools, and resources are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We make reasonable efforts to keep information accurate and current, but grief research, veterinary practice, and resource availability (such as hotline numbers or partner organizations) can change, and we cannot guarantee the Site is error-free or fully up to date at all times.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, PawsHush and its owner(s), contributors, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (a) your access to or use of, or inability to access or use, the Site; (b) any decisions made or actions taken in reliance on content found on the Site, including decisions related to veterinary care, euthanasia, or aftercare; or (c) any conduct or content of any third party on the Site, including third-party links or advertisements. Your use of the Site, including any reliance on its content, is at your own risk.
Third-party links
The Site contains links to third-party websites and resources (including crisis hotlines, support organizations, and affiliate retailers) that are not owned or controlled by PawsHush. We are not responsible for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites. Inclusion of a link does not imply endorsement of the linked entity's full range of content or activities.
International visitors and EU consumer rights
PawsHush is operated from the Czech Republic and welcomes visitors from around the world, including the United States and the European Union/EEA/UK. The Site itself does not sell goods or services to you directly; any purchase you make through an affiliate link is transacted entirely on the third-party retailer's own website and is governed by that retailer's terms, returns policy, and applicable consumer-protection law — including, for EU/UK consumers, statutory withdrawal (cooling-off) rights under Directive 2011/83/EU where applicable to that retailer. PawsHush is not a party to those transactions and cannot process returns, refunds, or withdrawal requests on a retailer's behalf.
Changes to the Site and these Terms
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Site at any time without notice. We may also revise these Terms from time to time; the "Effective date" above will reflect the most recent version. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Governing law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Czech Republic, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Site shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Czech Republic.
If you are a consumer habitually resident in the European Union, United Kingdom, or a U.S. state with consumer-protection laws, this choice of governing law does not deprive you of the protection afforded by mandatory consumer-protection provisions of the law of your own country or state of residence that cannot be waived by agreement (for EU consumers, in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 593/2008, "Rome I"). EU/UK consumers may also bring proceedings in the courts of their own country of residence. If you wish to resolve a dispute out of court, you may contact an alternative dispute resolution (ADR) body recognized in your country of residence; PawsHush is not obligated to participate in ADR proceedings but will consider such requests in good faith.
